Notion is an ApexGenius private-preview connection. It uses Notion’s official hosted MCP server and browser OAuth. You do not paste a Notion API key.
What you need
- An active Notion account
- Access to the workspace content you intend to use
- Permission from the workspace owner when your organization requires it
- ApexGenius private-preview access
Connect Notion
- In ApexGenius, open Connections.
- Select Notion.
- Choose Connect Notion.
- Review the requested workspace access and complete OAuth.
- Return to ApexGenius and enable the connected workspace resource.
- Start with
notion_search_tools, then review each notion_call_tool request.
Notion’s hosted MCP uses a broad workspace grant based on the connected user’s existing permissions. It can search and fetch content, create or update pages and data sources, add comments, upload files, and start asynchronous operations. ApexGenius therefore labels every generic Notion call as write-capable so compatible AI clients can request confirmation, including for calls that appear read-only.
Private preview. The implementation remains inactive until the vendor and compliance review is approved and a real account completes OAuth, resource discovery, and a harmless read smoke test. Compatibility does not imply partnership.
