Claude Code connects to ApexGenius as a remote MCP server over HTTPS. One command adds it for your user; approval happens in your browser; nothing is pasted into the terminal but the address.

Add the server

Then, in a Claude Code session, run /mcp, pick apexgenius and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens the ApexGenius approval page: choose what Claude Code may use (read only, full access, or custom), review the apps it reaches, and approve. Claude Code appears on API Access in ApexGenius as soon as it connects. --scope user makes the connection follow you across projects. Use --scope project to keep it to one repository, where it is written to that repository’s .mcp.json.

Verify a first read

Ask Claude Code:
The answer lists your connected apps. Then ask for one real read and check the call on Activity in ApexGenius. With Salesforce connected, the standard first read is:

Skills and memory in Claude Code

  • Your skills arrive as prompts. Type / in Claude Code and the ApexGenius prompts are listed with your skill names; pick one to load it into the conversation.
  • Memory works through the apex_fs_ tools on the same connection. Claude Code reads memory/MEMORY.md before work on your clients and projects and saves what it learns as notes. See Memory.

For scripts and CI: an API key instead

A terminal that cannot open a browser, a build server, or your own code uses an API key as a bearer token. Make one on API Access with Add an agent, pick API key, and copy it once:
The key carries the access level you chose when you made it. Revoke it on API Access any time.

Remove the connection

Then revoke Claude Code on API Access so the approval no longer stands.
