Status: Available. Each Salesforce connection represents one authorized org. Production and sandbox orgs can be saved as separate connections. ApexGenius supplies the Salesforce OAuth client. Your normal connection flow does not require a consumer key or consumer secret.

Steps to connect

Before you start
  • A Salesforce account with access to the org you want to connect.

Open Salesforce in Connections

Sign in to ApexGenius, open Connections, and choose Salesforce.

Choose your environment

Add a connection, choose Production or Sandbox, and continue to Salesforce.

Choose Production or Sandbox, then continue to Salesforce.

Authorize the org

Sign in to the intended Salesforce org and review Allow Access. Return to ApexGenius and check the org and connected user.

Return to the connection page and check the org and reported status.

Check the org and environment against the Salesforce connection you authorized before asking about its records.

Permissions and revocation

Salesforce applies the permissions of the user who authorizes the connection. ApexGenius cannot grant Salesforce access that the connected user does not already have. To revoke access from Salesforce, open Setup → External Client Apps OAuth Usage and revoke the applicable ApexGenius token. You can also disconnect the corresponding Salesforce connection in ApexGenius.
