Every supported client uses the same hosted ApexGenius endpoint:
The endpoint uses streamable HTTP and browser-based OAuth. You paste the URL, sign in to ApexGenius when the browser opens, and approve the client. ApexGenius does not issue a static key for this connection.
Use the product gateway, not the docs search server. server.autom8.pro/mcp reaches your authorized business systems. docs.apexgenius.ai/mcp searches public documentation only.

Before you connect

  • Create or sign in to an ApexGenius account.
  • Connect at least one supported business system.
  • For Salesforce work, create the intended project and authorize the correct production org or sandbox.
  • Confirm your AI client supports a remote streamable HTTP MCP server and OAuth.

What authorization does

The client discovers the protected resource

The client reads the ApexGenius OAuth metadata associated with the MCP endpoint.

Your browser opens ApexGenius

Sign in to your ApexGenius account. Do not enter those credentials into the AI client’s MCP configuration.

You approve the client

The resulting grant is tied to your ApexGenius account and its current connections.

The client loads three public tools

The gateway exposes search, read-call, and write-call routing tools. It discovers the exact inner operation only when a task needs it.

Verify the connection

Open a new conversation with ApexGenius enabled and ask:
For a connected Salesforce project, the client should discover the relevant read operation and return matching components. Check that the named project and org are the ones you intended.
Start with a read. Before a write, confirm the target project, record or component, expected effect, and the confirmation behavior of your client.

If your client is not listed

Use the client’s native configuration for a remote streamable HTTP MCP server. Set the URL to https://server.autom8.pro/mcp and use OAuth. Do not copy a JSON shape from another client because top-level keys differ between clients. If the client cannot complete remote OAuth, do not work around it by pasting account credentials or tokens into a config file. Use one of the supported client paths above.

Troubleshooting

  • The browser never opens. Confirm the client supports OAuth for remote MCP servers and that the URL ends in /mcp.
  • Authorization completes but tools are missing. Reopen the client or start a new conversation, then confirm ApexGenius is enabled for that conversation.
  • A tool cannot find a provider. Open ApexGenius Connections and verify the provider is connected, healthy, and available to your account.
  • A Salesforce result comes from the wrong environment. List projects, then select the intended production or sandbox project before continuing.
  • The route returns an access message. Open ApexGenius Settings to review the account state or contact support. The connection configuration can remain in place.
