# Connect HighLevel

> Understand the planned ApexGenius private-preview boundary for HighLevel's official MCP server.

HighLevel is an inactive ApexGenius private-preview connection. The planned integration uses HighLevel's official MCP server and browser OAuth. Do not treat the steps below as available until ApexGenius marks the connection ready in the product.

## Initial boundary

The planned first ApexGenius grant is intentionally narrower than HighLevel's full MCP catalog. It is designed around one HighLevel sub-account, also called a location, with these initial domains:

* Location identity
* Contacts
* Conversations and messages
* Opportunities
* Calendars and calendar events

Payments, social publishing, blogs, email campaigns, and agency-wide multi-location administration are outside the planned first ApexGenius grant. These are ApexGenius launch boundaries, not limits of HighLevel's own MCP server. Final scope depends on the approved OAuth grant and live verification.

## Connect HighLevel

1. In ApexGenius, open **Connections**.
2. Select **HighLevel**.
3. Choose **Connect HighLevel**.
4. Sign in to HighLevel, choose the intended location, and review the requested scopes.
5. Return to ApexGenius and confirm the connected location resource is enabled.
6. Start with `gohighlevel_search_tools`, then inspect the matched tool before calling `gohighlevel_call_tool`.

ApexGenius labels the generic HighLevel call as write-capable because the live catalog can combine reads with customer messages, CRM updates, opportunity changes, and calendar writes. Compatible AI clients can request confirmation before sending the call.

<Warning>
  **Private preview**

  The implementation remains inactive until the vendor and compliance review is approved and a non-customer test location completes OAuth, resource discovery, a harmless read, refresh and revoke checks, and an approved reversible write. Compatibility does not imply partnership.
</Warning>
